Spring Summer is the musical moniker for songwriter Jennifer Furches, a North Carolina native who has made a home in California. After time spent as a multi-instrumentalist for many bands including Cass McCombs, Sea Wolf, Coconut Records, Patrick Park and Ben Lee, she is setting out on her own with her debut single Bow Your Head. Furches says “I’ve always felt this conflict between playing simple, emotional songs--just me and my guitar--and that tug to collaborate with a band and make some noise! This particular tune started as a letter to myself, and I’m so happy with how Patrick [Park, producer] was able to capture those two sides of me in this one song.” The video, directed by Roman Coppola and shot by John Schwartzman, features my sister Amanda Furches and was shot quickly in one take after wrapping a commercial I was involved in through my day job as a script supervisor."
